How to choose pull-out kitchen taps.
Pull-out, pull-down or semi-pro?
A pull-out tap has a spray head that pulls out of the spout on a hose. A semi-pro tap, such as Second Nature Heron and Move, has a spring spout with a spray head you can pull down and point. 1810 Estrarre, Ritrarre and Dutrarre retract neatly back into the spout.
Spray and stream
Most spray heads switch between an aerated stream for filling and a spray for rinsing. It makes cleaning a deep sink, pans and vegetables much quicker.
Water pressure
Most of our taps need at least 0.5 bar of water pressure, which suits mains-pressure and combi boiler systems. If you have a gravity-fed hot water tank, check the pressure first or call us.
Fitting
A pull-out tap fits in one tap hole like an ordinary mixer tap. The hose and its weight sit in the cabinet under the sink, so leave space for it to move.

Are pull-out kitchen taps worth it?
If you rinse pans, plates or vegetables often, yes: you can point the water exactly where you need it and rinse the whole sink.
Do pull-out taps need high water pressure?
They work from about 0.5 bar. On a low-pressure gravity-fed system the spray is weaker, so check the minimum pressure on each tap.
What is a semi-pro tap?
A tap with a tall spring spout and a spray head you can pull down and move around, like a professional kitchen tap but sized for a home kitchen.
Will a pull-out tap fit my sink?
Yes, if your sink or worktop has a single tap hole. Leave room under the sink for the hose to pull out.

Sinks and taps are delivered for £10 + VAT anywhere on the UK mainland. In-stock 1810 Company products are dispatched the next working day when you order by 12 noon; in-stock Second Nature sinks and taps arrive in 2–5 working days.
