A high gloss kitchen reflects light from windows and ceiling lights, which makes a small or north-facing kitchen feel larger and brighter. The smooth surface is quick to wipe clean, and gloss gives even a simple layout a polished, contemporary finish.
Gloss works with slab doors and handles, or with a true-handleless rail or J-pull edge for an uninterrupted mirror-like run of doors. Supergloss and acrylic-faced doors give the deepest shine; lacquered and foil gloss doors cost less. Every high gloss kitchen we sell arrives rigid, with the doors fitted.
White and cream gloss are timeless and pair with almost any worktop. Grey and darker glosses look striking with a white quartz or marble-effect worktop. Mixing gloss wall units with a matt or woodgrain island is a popular way to add warmth.

Quality gloss doors are hard-wearing, but like any polished surface they can mark if cleaned with abrasive products. Use a soft cloth and a mild cleaner.
White and grey gloss are still popular in new builds and smaller kitchens. Many people now pair gloss wall units with matt or woodgrain base units for a warmer look.
Both work. Handleless gloss gives a seamless, mirror-like run of doors; slim bar handles add a modern detail.
