Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

The Porter Gloss kitchen from Second Nature uses a flat slab door in MDF with a high-gloss lacquered paint finish. The door is 18mm thick and lay-on, and its plain face reflects light around the room. A Porter Gloss slab kitchen suits sleek, contemporary spaces. Because the door has no detail of its own, changing the handles changes the look of the whole kitchen.

Porter Gloss is stocked in colours including Cashmere, Dove Grey, Hartforth Blue, Porcelain, White and Regiment. If none of those is right, it can be painted to order from a 35-colour palette. Handle choices include standard handles, a true handleless rail or the Outline profile. Bespoke sizes are also available, so the doors can be made to suit a room that does not follow standard cabinet widths.

Our cabinets are delivered rigid, not flat-packed, with doors fitted. A 600mm base unit starts at £129.07. They have soft-close hinges and drawers, a colour-coordinated carcase where available, and a 25-year carcase guarantee. A designer will plan your kitchen at no charge and send 3D images alongside an itemised quote. You can also order a sample door before committing.

Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
