Burbidge is a family-owned British manufacturer that has worked with timber since 1867 and now makes kitchen doors, accessories and storage from its base in Coventry. Its ranges span in-frame, classic Shaker and contemporary slab designs, with painted doors hand-sprayed in its own UK factory. The company holds the Manufacturing Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
Door details from Burbidge and stockist specifications, checked September 2026. Your designer will confirm sizes and finishes before you order.
The Pembrey kitchen from Burbidge is an in-frame Shaker with slim, fine lines and a shallow recessed centre panel. It is a lighter take on the traditional in-frame look. Doors are built from a solid ash frame with a timber-veneer panel and hand-sprayed in matt paint. A Pembrey in-frame kitchen works in period properties and modern homes alike, and suits buyers who want in-frame character without heavy detailing.
Pembrey is painted to order from Burbidge's palette, so you choose the colour rather than picking from a fixed stock list. The range runs from Bone, Putty and Soft Grey to Reed Green, Old Navy and All Black. Bespoke painted colours are available too. Glazed and tall glazed doors can be added. Handles are supplied separately, and knurled antique brass options are available. Made-to-measure door sizes can be ordered.
All our kitchens are built as rigid cabinets and delivered with the doors fitted. The hinges and drawers close softly, the carcase colour is coordinated where available, and the carcase is guaranteed for 25 years. To start, send us your room measurements and our designer will prepare a free plan with 3D images and an itemised quote. Sample doors can be arranged, which is useful for painted finishes. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Pembrey kitchen starts at £4,027.20, units only.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
718 cabinets, doors, panels and fittings for Pembrey, from £19.51. Choose your door colour or paint shade, filter by type or search by code, then add what you need — or send us your plan and we’ll list it for you.
