Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

The Mornington Vale Oak kitchen from Second Nature takes the mock in-frame Mornington Vale door and makes it in European oak. The oak is solid wood or real veneer. The door is lay-on with in-frame-style detailing and is 20mm thick. The open oak grain is left on show. A Mornington Vale Oak in-frame kitchen suits farmhouse and traditional homes. It can also be mixed with painted Mornington doors for contrast on an island or tall bank.
The finish is natural oak, so this range is about the timber itself rather than a paint palette. Matching oak cornice and corner posts are available, which lets the cabinets finish neatly at the ceiling and in the corners. Bespoke sizes are available, so doors can be made to suit spaces that do not follow standard widths. If you want colour elsewhere, the painted Mornington doors can sit alongside the oak in the same design.
Every kitchen we sell arrives as rigid-built cabinets with the doors already fitted. Carcases are colour-coordinated where available, with soft-close hinges and drawers and a 25-year carcase guarantee. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Mornington Vale Oak kitchen starts at £2,826.25, units only. Our designer plans your room for free and returns 3D images with an itemised quote. Sample doors are available so you can judge the finish in your own light.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
