Burbidge is a family-owned British manufacturer that has worked with timber since 1867 and now makes kitchen doors, accessories and storage from its base in Coventry. Its ranges span in-frame, classic Shaker and contemporary slab designs, with painted doors hand-sprayed in its own UK factory. The company holds the Manufacturing Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.

The Kew Shaker kitchen gives the classic Shaker shape a crisper, more modern edge. Burbidge builds it with a solid ash frame and a 6mm ash-veneered centre panel. The grain shows through the hand-sprayed matt paint, so you get real timber rather than a flat finish. The clean lines suit contemporary homes as easily as older properties. It is also available primed, for buyers who want to paint on site.
Colours we stock and photograph include Baltic Green, Putty, Seal Grey and Soft Grey, along with a primed option. Bespoke painted colours can be ordered if you want something outside that range. Separate handles are used, such as the K147 stainless handle. Door sizes are made to measure, and glazed and curved doors are available. That flexibility helps when a kitchen has a sloping ceiling or an unusual alcove that standard sizes would not fill neatly.
Every Kew kitchen we supply comes as rigid cabinets with the doors fitted. The carcase is colour-coordinated where available, and hinges and drawers are soft-close. The carcase carries a 25-year guarantee. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Kew kitchen starts at £2,506.61, units only. Send us your measurements and a designer will plan the layout for free, then send 3D images and an itemised quote. Sample doors are available if you want to see the sharper frame before you commit.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
847 cabinets, doors, panels and fittings for Kew, from £14.76. Choose your door colour or paint shade, filter by type or search by code, then add what you need — or send us your plan and we’ll list it for you.
