Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

Clarendon Beaded is the in-frame Clarendon with an extra bead run around the inside of the frame. This adds a finer, more decorative period detail. Second Nature builds it from real wood, with an ovolo frame profile, and the grain stays visible beneath the paint. The Clarendon Beaded in-frame kitchen is best for heritage homes and traditional rooms that aim for a handmade feel.
This range is painted to order only, with no stock colours, from a 33-colour palette. We have photographed it in Olive, Mussel and Storm Blue, and the range also lists Malbec and Putty. The finish is matt, and the paint does not hide the wood. Bespoke sizes are available, so the beading can be planned around chimney breasts and other features in older rooms.
Cabinets are delivered rigid-built, with the doors fitted before they leave us. Soft-close hinges and drawer runners come as standard, backed by a 25-year carcase guarantee. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Clarendon Beaded kitchen starts at £5,046.81, units only. Our designers plan your kitchen free, with 3D images and an itemised quote, and sample doors are available. The quote lists every unit, so you can see exactly what goes into the kitchen before deciding.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
