The Aalborg Shaker kitchen from Second Nature comes rigid, with the doors and drawer fronts already fitted to your cabinets. Choose a stocked colour or any shade from the 35-colour paint-to-order palette. The doors are 22mm thick, made from ash timber frame, veneered MDF centre panel. Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

The Aalborg Shaker kitchen from Second Nature uses a five-piece micro-Shaker door with a very narrow 20mm frame. The frame is ash timber with a veneered MDF centre panel, and the door is a 22mm lay-on. The matt paint leaves the ash grain visible. The Aalborg kitchen suits furniture-style rooms that want Shaker detail without a chunky frame, and the look leans Scandinavian.

Aalborg comes in ten standard colours, and Porcelain, Fawn and Copse Green are among those we have photographed. Other shades in the range include Taupe Grey, Stone, Dove Grey and Graphite. If none suits, doors can be painted to order from a 35-colour palette. Doors are also available primed, and bespoke sizes can be made where a run of units needs them.

Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
