Porter Matt is a slab kitchen from Second Nature, supplied as rigid units with the doors already fitted. It comes in 10 stocked colours, from Cashmere and Dove Grey to Taupe Grey and Regiment, and can be painted to order.
Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

The Porter Matt kitchen from Second Nature is the same simple MDF slab as Porter Gloss, finished in a soft matt lacquer. The door is 18mm thick and lay-on. The matt surface gives a calmer look and hides fingerprints better than gloss. A Porter Matt slab kitchen suits modern homes where a plain, quiet door is the aim.
Stocked colours include Cashmere, Dove Grey, Graphite, Hartforth Blue, Porcelain and Taupe Grey, with more in the range. Doors can also be painted to order from a 35-colour palette. You can dress the door with handles, set the kitchen up with a true handleless rail, or choose the integrated Outline handle. Bespoke sizes are available for spaces that need them. The same door is also offered as Porter Matt Handleless, and Porter Gloss gives a shinier version of the slab.
We supply rigid-built units with the doors already fitted, soft-close hinges and drawers, and a colour-coordinated carcase where available. The carcase is guaranteed for 25 years. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Porter Matt kitchen starts at £2,102.70, units only. Send us your room sizes and a designer will produce a free plan with 3D images and an itemised quote. Sample doors can be sent out on request.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
762 cabinets, doors, panels and fittings for Porter Matt, from £9.52. Choose your door colour or paint shade, filter by type or search by code, then add what you need — or send us your plan and we’ll list it for you.
