Burbidge is a family-owned British manufacturer that has worked with timber since 1867 and now makes kitchen doors, accessories and storage from its base in Coventry. Its ranges span in-frame, classic Shaker and contemporary slab designs, with painted doors hand-sprayed in its own UK factory. The company holds the Manufacturing Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.

The Otto Matt Handleless kitchen from Burbidge pairs a smooth, hand-sprayed matt slab door with a true handleless rail. The rail is fitted into the cabinets behind the door, so the fronts stay completely flat and free of handles. There is no shine to the finish. The door has a 22mm MDF core and is sprayed by hand in the UK. It suits contemporary homes and open-plan living spaces.
Colours stocked are Anthracite, Light Grey and Porcelain, each in the same hand-sprayed matt paint. The doors have a flat profile with no edge detail, which keeps long runs of units looking plain and consistent. Made-to-measure door sizes are available, and curved doors can also be made. If you would rather have handles on a slab door, ask about the standard Otto Matt range, which can be planned with either style.
All our kitchens are supplied as rigid, built cabinets with the doors fitted, which saves time on fitting day. Expect soft-close hinges and drawers throughout, plus a colour-coordinated carcase where one is offered, and a 25-year guarantee on the carcase. We draw up your plan for free and send 3D images with an itemised quote, so you can see the total before you commit. Sample doors are available on request. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Otto Matt Handleless kitchen starts at £2,854.73, units only.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
