Burbidge is a family-owned British manufacturer that has worked with timber since 1867 and now makes kitchen doors, accessories and storage from its base in Coventry. Its ranges span in-frame, classic Shaker and contemporary slab designs, with painted doors hand-sprayed in its own UK factory. The company holds the Manufacturing Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.

The Langton in-frame kitchen is a traditional design in which each door sits inside a surrounding frame and hangs on decorative butt hinges. Burbidge builds it from solid ash, with a 23mm-thick frame and a smooth centre panel, then hand-sprays it in matt paint. The beaded in-frame Shaker profile gives the furniture-like feel of a classic English kitchen. Curved, glazed and tall glazed doors let it suit larger or more detailed designs.
Painted colours in the Burbidge palette include Bone, Putty, Soft Grey, Reed Green, Baltic Green and Prussian Blue. Bespoke painted colours are available too, so you can match an existing scheme. Separate handles are used, such as the K166 T-bar or the K167 knob. Made-to-measure door sizes are available, which matters for in-frame work because the doors sit within the frame openings. Tall glazed doors are also available.
Our cabinets arrive rigid, with the doors already fitted. We use a colour-coordinated carcase where available, and hinges and drawers are soft-close. The carcase is covered by a 25-year guarantee. A typical 13-unit L-shaped Langton kitchen starts at £3,988.71, units only. Our designers plan your room at no charge, and you will receive 3D images and an itemised quote. Sample doors can be arranged, which is worth doing with a painted ash door so you can judge the finish.
Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
Swatches from the EGGER Decorative Collection, 18mm board. “UK stock” and “To order” show Egger’s board availability. Standard carcase colours are included in the price; other colours cost extra and we’ll confirm the price with your order. Colours on screen are approximate.
747 cabinets, doors, panels and fittings for Langton, from £19.51. Choose your door colour or paint shade, filter by type or search by code, then add what you need — or send us your plan and we’ll list it for you.
