Second Nature is the consumer kitchen brand of PWS Distributors Ltd, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1909. Its door ranges run from foil and lacquered slabs to real-timber Shakers and in-frame designs, and are sold only through a national network of independent kitchen retailers rather than direct.

Feature Glazed doors from Second Nature are slim metal-framed glass fronts. They are designed as accent units within a wider kitchen scheme, not as a full range. The Feature Glazed kitchen look works best on tall units or wall cabinets, where glass breaks up a run of solid doors. Each door is a lay-on, around 20 to 21mm deep.

Frames come in black or bronze, and the glass is clear or fluted. The fluted, or reeded, glass gives only a soft view of what is inside, which helps if the shelves behind are untidy. Clear glass suits displayed glassware and crockery. Because these doors sit alongside other ranges, we can show how a black or bronze frame looks against your chosen main door colour.

All our kitchens are supplied as rigid cabinets with doors fitted and colour-coordinated carcases where available. Expect soft-close doors and drawers, and a 25-year guarantee on the carcase. Ask for a free design from our Cheltenham team, with 3D images, an itemised quote and sample doors to hold up against your walls. Your cabinets come with a standard carcase in the colour the door maker recommends for your door colour, or Natural Lancaster Oak (Egger H3368) where there is no match. Or choose from 198 Egger plain colours and woodgrains to match or contrast with your doors.
