Choosing a lift-up door system.

Why a lift-up door?

A lift-up mechanism holds a wall cabinet door open above your head, so it never swings into your face or blocks the worktop. It is the usual choice over a hob, above a fridge or on wide wall units.

Which type?

Blum Aventos HK-XS and Kesseböhmer FREEmini suit small doors. FREElight lifts a door straight up, FREEfold folds a two-part door, FREEslide slides the door up and back over the cabinet, and FREEswing lifts up and over for 600mm to 1000mm units.

Getting it right

Lift systems are chosen by door height, width and weight, so tell us the door you are fitting and we will match the mechanism. The universal flap stay is a simple option for small drop-down or lift-up flaps.

Which lift do I need?

Lift systems are chosen by the cabinet height and the weight of the door. Stays and lifts that fold, swing or slide up each suit a different wall cabinet.

Why use one?

A lift-up door stays open where you leave it, so you can reach inside a wall cabinet with both hands.

Can I order it without a kitchen?

Yes. Accessories can be ordered on their own, with delivery added at checkout. If you order them with a kitchen, they travel with the rest of your order.
