Measuring
How to measure a sloping door
A sloping door is made from a rectangle with one edge cut at an angle. We need four measurements, and a sketch helps.
- The tall side
The height of the door on its taller side, in mm.
- The short side
The height on its shorter side.
- The width
Across the bottom of the door.
- Which way it slopes
Looking at the front, is the tall side on the left or the right? And which side are the hinges?

Each sloping door is priced from the rectangle it’s cut from, plus 50% for the angled cut. Send us the sizes for an exact price, usually within 1–2 working days.

Sloping doors: questions
Can every Bella style be made as a sloping door?
Most can. On panelled styles the panel follows the slope where it can; on some styles a steeply sloping door is made with a plain centre. We’ll tell you how yours will look before anything is made.
Can I have matching sloping end panels?
Yes. End panels and fillers can be cut to the same angle in the same colour.
Do you drill hinge holes in sloping doors?
Yes. Give us the hinge positions measured from the bottom edge of the door, on its tall side.
How much more does a sloping door cost?
A sloping door costs the price of the rectangle it’s cut from plus 50% for the angled cut. We confirm the exact price with your quote.
How long do sloping doors take?
Like all Bella doors they’re made to order and usually leave the factory within 7 working days.
